Cabaret Closing

Please join us on Saturday, October 30th at 5:00pm  for The University Avenue Project's Closing Cabaret!  

 It's hard to believe that The University Avenue Project is drawing to a close.  We hope that you will help us celebrate our brilliant 6-month run by joining us for the final Cabaret.

Performers will include:

His Mischief -Sheridan Fox of His Mischief is a rock n' roll guitarist and singer/songwriter.

Rodrigo Sanchez -A writer and spoken word poet of Peruvian heritage, Rodrigo is heavily involved with Palabristas, a local Latin poets collective.

Alanna Morris - A professional dancer, emerging choreographer. and teaching artist will be presenting a version of her project, Dreams: A Solo, a dance/drama/multimedia work that explores grappling with social justice issues, especially as it relates to her own community.

Abdi Phenomenal Farah with Cedar Riverside Art Zone - A spoken word artist and writer of Somalian heritage will be performing a combination of spoken word and song, along with young people from the Arts Zone for Youth.

Dusty Porch Sisters - An all female folk/bluegrass band that seeks to inspire joy through interactive and playful music!

Abdellah Ouchagour - Abdel will be performing Modern Moroccan Music

Ed Bok-Lee -is presenting a video in collaboration with Steve Appelhans.  Ed Bok Lee is a poet and author who has created an original piece about The University Avenue Project.

Aaron and the Sea - this solo performance from Aaron Rice will demonstrate the bands electronic, indie, nightmare-pop music.

HillTribe - is a group of Hmong Hip Hop artists who deliver a high-energy performance.

Michael Legan - is a young pianist whose original music is both stirring and soothing.

Ben Glaros - is a guitarist who draws songs out of the experiences life hands him.  He enjoys the freedom and flexibility of being a solo acoustic performer.
